No idea what you're talking about. The Iraq War was never about land. Even in the most intense fighting areas like Fallujah, nobody cared about the land. Once it was cleared of enemy, it was abandoned by us. Which is what the Clear, Hold, Build strategy was about.

From the early days of the war GWB made it clear that we had no interest in Iraqi land and that's precisely how it has turned out.

The Iraq War was never, ever about "land" or "territory", other than the extent to which the temporary control of real estate was necessary to until such time as the enemy were expelled from it.

Anyone who is remotely familiar with the Iraq War knows that had the goal been to "take land", the war would have been massively different from start to finish.
