Asswipetalker - I never mentioned 'imperialism" did I? Neither did CJ. No. But, LAND is what Iraq was all about. Land for OUR Iraqis. What's the big deal? The Saudis wanted us out of Mecca so we had to find a new place for our bases. Iraq was convenient......lots of flat and vacant acreage....some water front property....central location and not far from the action in Afghanistan.....lots of oil.......all utilities included. What was not to like? It was a perfect fit. Why can't you liberals stop complaining about what is as natural and fitting as drinking moonshine on a hot summer's eve?
