>>It's very difficult to put all the pieces of a puzzle together until after the act of terrorism has occurred.<<

this is a point that few seem to comprehend - you can't have complete "safety" in a free society.

it is *impossible*. with freedom comes risk.

as you mentioned in your post just prior to this one, the one time al qaeda *really* got us with terrorism, the information was there well in advance. i think we had the blue prints in our hands 5 years early when we found them in the phillipines.

the only risk i see that we aren't taking is the risk of avoiding a financial collapse. that's proceeding with 100% certainty.

i'm sorry, but the idea that a majority of muslims are radical to the point of doing damage isn't factually supported.

how many muslims are there?

how many muslims actually performed a terrorist act last year?

now divide the latter into the former. is it a big number or an extremely minute number?

>>You want to see economic collapse, let the Iranians manage to set off a EMP burst over the US and you'll be a living witness to it.<<

you are gravely confused over my views if you think i support iran getting a nuclear bomb.

how about this? i give you a $10 billion marginal dollar solution for preventing iran from getting nukes and i get to split the remaining $2,990 trillion down the middle, alrighty?

we can agree that afghanistan isn't working on a nuclear bomb, right?

again, don't complain when america collapses economically and we risk losing our entire military whether we like it or not.

btw, what is your estimate of dead iraqis and dead afghanis since the wars broke out in 2001? you took issue with my admittedly pulled out of thin air round number, so let me know what number is more accurate? 100k? 200k? how many family members are alive for each dead person - 10? say 1.7 parents, 1.5 brothers and an average of 7 uncles, grandparents, nephews, nieces, etc...

we'd be better off killing the millions because the dead ones can't get enraged because we've killed their family member and then try to reap some kind of revenge on america. right?
