Civil disobedience is a responsible response. If you don't like a law, there are also law suits, engaging public support, lobbying Congress, perhaps even fostering jury nullification.

Having a temper tantrum and acting like a jerk when the cops come to make a legal arrest is childish and stupid. And making someone who would do that out to be a hero is despicable.
