I hardly think that a mere three months to review strategies and hear from all interested parties (and in the context of a new Presidency, and the military saying it did not have trrops available to be sent yet anyway) amounts to much of any kind of a problem when placed in context with the CHRONIC under-resourcing and faulty strategy that's been ongoing for years now.

Remember: we can fight for decades and decades more in Afghanistan (whether we pay for it, or merely put it straight onto the national debt as before...) and it *will not* secure anything like a strategic 'victory' until and unless the sanctuaries and the support over the border in PAKISTAN are taken care of.

At least we are adjusting our policies to acknowledge that reality now....
