Hmm, no, it doesn't make me feel better. (Bet it doesn't you, either) The extent of the injuries is so terrible that many of these young people will face a lifetime of pain and complications and disabilities. I am ashamed that men of my generation, who saw the horrors of an extended foreign war, would send their sons and daughters so recklessly into two of them, particularly since many of the architects of these wars never served and even actively avoided it.
