Jeff: Country Baskets, WEBS are indexes you can trade through the American Stock Exchange. You can go long or short without an uptick. The WEBS cover most of the major markets but South Africa (and for a time U.S.) were included in the Country Baskets. I download them daily from TC2000 and check in on them occassionally. I think they offer a nice alternative to closed-end funds, ADR's and international open-end funds.

As for puts, I think that I will soon begin to paper trade puts rather than shorts and in the process learn the differences. Henry does have a rather good explanation, but I assume that there is more to it than that. What is your experience with options?

I guess I need to read O'Neill's chapter 7 before asking you any more questions about the Stock Farmer.

John
