How about medical mistakes???

AFAIK, medical mistakes occur no more or less frequently in the US than anywhere else.

And BTW, Europeans consume more alcohol and drive faster than Americans...

There are several factors, the most important of which is an intolerance of driving while intoxicated. Acceptable BAC levels in the US are higher than those in almost any country, with European countries typically tolerating no more than 0.05 but some far lower. Also, they typically have much more stringent penalties, as well as stiffer penalties for higher BAC levels.

Also, Americans drive far more miles in a typical year than Europeans do.

Consuming alcohol isn't the problem. Driving after having done so it.
