It is a disease of people who engage in casual sex. The population that defines itself by their sex practices are homosexuals. Casual sex is well tolerated in this country. Actually it is rare among heterosexuals who have casual sex infrequently. However, if unprotected casual sex with other partners is very frequent, or heterosexual anal sex is practiced then the rate goes up. In Africa in the 15 to 24 age group 36 women are infected for every 10 men. Many men are getting AIDS from the practice of scarification.
