Kenneth, medicare is going broke. Your question is ridiculous.
What you pay has absolutely nothing to do with efficiency.

I pay $100 per month for Medicare which pays over 80% of my health care bills. I pay $300 per month for a supplement policy which covers the other 20%. Which is more efficient?
