I agree that fairy tales and Santa Claus can serve to teach important lessons to the very young who may otherwise not understand but we label them as "fairy tales" and the "spirit" of Santa Claus.

After a certain age, kids either "get it" or are told the truth.

But perpetuating the "story" of the 10 Commandments and using it for clearly cross purposes (eg, Thou Shall no Kill" except in the case against people who disagree) is troubling.

For grown ups to believe in preposterous "stories" is more than troubling. It borders on derangement.
