Well, Ron, it would be hard for me to tell you that there is just one being now, and that the body of Jesus has disappeared into the one that was on the Throne to begin with because Jesus never told me that, and He's the only one I listen to.
Obviously when you say "can you say there's only one God in the universe", you most certainly mean only one true God, as in God the Father, versus the myriad and unending manifestation of satan represented as pagan human gods, right? I don't mean to insult your intelligence, but you could be some nut who also believes in the Indian Atman, or whatever it is, and other psychobabble. I assume you are totally of God the Father, or I'm really losing my ability to comprehend.
Therefore, all I know to be fact is what John wrote. Because John wrote of what he saw with his eyes, touched with his hands, listened to his voice and walked, talked and eat dinner with for several years, and also saw Him back from the dead--I find that word obsolete for our purposes since there is no death--and that's all I believe.
According to John, Jesus did not say that now He was God, and that was it, and everything had changed. All He told John and the others was "touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father. but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and TO MY GOD, and your God." (John 20:17)
That's all I know. He now stands at the right Hand of God the Father, who has always been on the Throne, and in Heaven will probably get off, or else some of us will just sit right there with Him.
That's all I know. I also know John wrote that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and WAS God, and all things were made by Him, and the Word BECAME FLESH, and dwelt amongst us. So naturally we have to know that Jesus was in on the creation of all we love. That seems totally clear to me to. But I also have been baffled by Genesis since the first, and think that there is a great mystery there we still don't get.
As in Michael warred in heaven. I don't get that, either. It's just beyond me. Do I believe Heaven was empty while Jesus Christ lived on earth, as recorded by Josephus, even? I would have to be mad to believe that. That God was down here eating and sleeping, and Heaven was empty.
Then who was Jesus talking to? Why did He say (Matt.19:17) "Why do you call me good? There is none good but the Father."
No. The truth is, with me the minute I get out of scripture nothing makes sense. I have to stay dead on every word of the Bible. Then it is all perfectly clear and I have no questions. The problem is with me that since I am no longer slammed 24 hours a day with the paralyzing beauty of the presence of God, and the Move of God moved on, I can't afford to get away from the scripture.
I honestly believe it is the only thing I will have to get me through. Not now, but down the road.
Is that at all the answer to the question you were asking?
I still don't think I understand what you mean by creation, and I now have a nice new printer so I can print stuff off and make better sense of it. Much of what is posted here is well worth printing to keep, and other to study so we can see what the person really is saying. |
