"Chemicals can’t evaluate whether or not a theory is true. Chemicals don’t reason, they react."

This red herring simply runs away from the discussion. People are more than chemicals. They are people. Just because trees, bandaids, rabbits, microphones, and bread are all atoms, all energy, all forms, or all anything does not mean they are not people or rabbits or microphones or bandaids or bread or anything.

Dogs CAN bark, rabbits CAN hop, bread CAN mold, microphones CAN attenuate, people CAN EVALUATE.

FURTHERMORE..."even if ideas were a NOTHING (no matter/vacuum/empty space--or any other such nothing)--it still would not speak to any evidence for unicorns or monkeys living in the clouds--or Zeus or Apollo or Yahweh"

"That's like saying that it is possible and reasonable for water to not boil at 100 degrees at sea level"

Yes, if it is true that people do not have a choice what to think. But that question is unanswered at this time. And the answer can be yes or no without any reference to any of the thousands of Gods imagined by humans. The answer certainly has no significant impact for human survival unless fatalism becomes not merely a philosophy but a religious vehicle for fanatics.

"Chemicals don't give a rip about anything let alone survival"

Your idea that the physical make-up of all matter negates the peculiar, specific, and unique is simply a huge brain fart. Just because every part of your body is made of cells does not mean you cannot experience hunger, pain, or love. It does not mean you cannot think or that you cannot swim or sacrifice a goat or a bird and splash blood on your toe and ear. Yes, chemicals DON'T give a rip (perhaps)--but dogs bark and people give a rip--and doves coo.

"To the consistent atheist materialist, Humans are no more significant than other forms of matter."

The desire to survive gives personal significance to all creatures. Every life therefore has ultimate significance for the Being. The man butchering the cow, the cow being butchered, the antelope chased by the wolf pack, the wolves in the pack. Every one the most significant entity in all of history, time, or existence.
