My tens reasons why I am investing in this stock:

1) Honest management, even to the point of playing down the potential of the company. Company has never in the past not met the analysts estimate => no hype from management.

2) Capable management and design team. The CEO, Dr Eli Harari is a world known expert in non-volatile memory. Complete design team is intact since the start of the company (info from a SI poster who claimed to be an interim CFO at Sandisk a couple years ago).

3) Leader in flash technology. Compact Flash is now the de-facto standard in digital cameras. Company possesses knowledge to design multi-cell flash and is one year ahead of Intel in coming to market with double-bit flash.

4) Company knows how to protect its intellectual property by securing 38 patents in flash technology.

5) Flash has extended consumer applications => big revenue when dealing with consumer products.

6) This company has proven to be very shrewd in negotiating deals. Company secured higher than normal royalty rate (in the order of 10% compared with 3%-5% industry standard). Witness Sandisk getting Samsung on their knees through court litigation and signing up Toshiba , Sandisk's customer.

7) Alliance with major electronics companies such as Siemens, NEC, MEC.

8) Company is fab less => no need for a lot of capital expenditure.

9) This stock can be used as investment vehicle for many years to come since the digital age has just begun with cameras, cell phones, pagers, set-top boxes.

10) I haven't come up with the 10th reason yet, so I will make up one: I LOVE MONEY.
