This is another new application for flash cards:

Voice It Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq:MEMO) announced today a technical
and marketing partnership with Speech Machines, a leading developer of computerized speech recognition applications. The
company's new Voice It(R) Digital Recorder line, which began shipping in late September 1997, provides up to 50 minutes of
recording capacity through internal flash memory and also accepts removable flash cards, providing the user with unlimited
recording capacities. The unit has complete edit capabilities and enables the user, through the Voice It PC Link(R) computer
software provided, to download data to their computer for management, storage, transcription and e-mail or Internet
attachment.

There is a SI thread for MEMO.
