China is trying to come down thru Pakistan and reach those oil and gas wells in the southern part of Pakistan. The Chinese, right now, are building a port in Gwadar (southern Pakistan/Iran area).

There are ALWAYS levels of conspiratorial plots involved in ANY international region. The Russians always wanted a warm water port, hence their interest in Afghanistan. So it's always possible the Chinese have an agenda as well, but it isn't a warm water port. They have plenty of those.

It's even possible that the Chinese might be lending financial/logistical support to the Taliban (should we support the muslim Uighur separatists in Xinjiang province in retaliation?).

So, assuming your scenario is correct, what you're proposing is that we permit the Chinese to invade and conquer Afghanistan, right?

Do you take your paycheck in Hong Kong Dollars, or Yuan?
