Corel draws upon suite success -- Retailers expect strong upgrade market for CorelDraw8, scheduled to be on shelves in December

Both products will be heavily promoted at Comdex/Fall in Las Vegas next month.

CorelDraw has maintained revenue leadership in the PC drawing/illustration software market thus far in 1997, pocketing almost $11 million for its CorelDraw 7 upgrades, according to market research company PC Data, Reston, Va. Corel sold 48,917 upgrade copies through the retail channel to date in 1997, according to PC Data.
