Alexa, Dear Alexa, your falling for that old mistaken belief that if the other guy would get taxed like I get taxed, my taxes wouuldn't be so high. Alas it doesn't work that way. That same sort of technique is used in the media all the time. Class envy, "tax the eeevil rich more and my taxes will go down" the liberal's play it to the hilt. If prop 13 would not have passed, you would all be paying the same rate as if you just moved. The State Government would just find another way to spend the extra loot.
