but also points out if the government doesn't commit considerable funds to stimuli, we could see depression.

This was Krugman's argument back in February in support of tripling the size of the stimulus. He has since acknowledged that the stimulus was enough to keep a Depression off the table but that the higher levels of unemployment justify another significant dose of stimulus.

We'll have to see how his latest prediction turns out.
