Interesting. Now it looks to me you are saying that if Krugman doesn't agree with you he is not a pragmatist and thus he is an ideologue. By that token, I will no accuse Friedman, the Austrians, et al, of simply being ideologues. Because I disagree with them.

There is a huge difference between having a political point of view, which we all do, and distorting the world to fit your political point of view which is an ideology (rather crudely put, I'm afraid).
