I agree with what you say, other than that I don't think that this particular bubble will last for years. My suspicion is that there will be further credit disasters ahead, one coming soon with commercial real estate. Some gold holders will find that they need liquidity more than their precious gold hoard. And I'm looking for interest rates to rise sooner than some expect. With interest rates near zero there is no penalty for holding gold. That is going to change soon enough, maybe when the bond vigilantes decide that they want an inflation premium on their T bonds.
