Time will ultimately tell us what the political effects of all this will be....

(Whether it 'reinvigorates' the GOP, or causes it's demise and replacement with some new Conservative Party... and whether all of this turmoil in the short-term produces net gains or net losses for the Dems....)

But remember, (without taking any position on the first two speculative questions), I am on record as saying that, in the short-term anyway, out just to the political horizons of 2010 and 2012, I expect that the 'rise of the Tea Parties' will prove to be a (though SLIGHT) net-loss to GOP election prospects.

That's what makes for a ball game though, different opinions about how it will all end!
