It doesn't mean it isn't. It certainly is a factor. For example, it is felt that one cooling episode was caused by a 25ppm drop in atmospheric CO2 levels.

Ok, granted, it was just a correlation. But the fact of the matter is that there are several cooling events with no corresponding CO2 decreases. While that does indicate there are other factors, it also squashes the idea that cooling events cause a drop in CO2.

So, cause and effect, or wild coincidence? Certainly the Tyndall effect suggests a cause and effect.
