I think we have learned one thing from the Chinese. Wherever they've gone, they have helped build the infrastructure of a country, roads, schools, hospitals etc.....not by military might and the countries in M.E and Eurasia, sure as heck like them better than us. Sure they like them.. they prop up the non-democratic governments in exchange for exploiting the resources of those countries. And do you think the profits earned from selling those resources go to better the lives of the overall population, or the pockets of the power elite in those countries? dailymail.co.uk chinadialogue.net rnw.nl chinamining.org I'm sure there's "good and bad" from China's activities in Africa. But not focusing on bettering the lives of the people in those countries (which will obviously involve pressuring the existing regimes) is irresponsible. We've taken well-deserved "heat" for doing the same things in the past, so I don't see anything wrong with putting the same kind of pressure on China. Hawk
