After a brief discussion about climate change on a right wing thread, I have wondered for the upteenth time what is the difference between right and left leaning thinking as defined in our culture..
I have come to the conclusion like before, that one of the big factors has to be religious "Christian" teachings. Not that the "right" follow the real JC's example, they follow the hi-jacked version of his beliefs..
The hi-jacked version in the bible says that "man" has domain overall, including all our environment.. So whatever they view in their mind is right.. <g,ng> It is right.. I'm sure that goes for all other religions throughout the world.. Fundamentalist Islam being no different than fundamentalist Christianity and that's the GD problem.
Sorry Gawd,, no offense, but you know me, I worship EVERY bit of your Gadzillion products from the tiniest blade of grass to the majestic redwoods to the littlest mole to the most grandest elephant and every time I have to take one for survival, I do with reverence and I hope no suffering..And sometimes I take things I don't need, like gold and silver for greed maybe but maybe for survival too, I don't know..
But I digress...
I am a PAGAN, I guess if I worship all of nature, as defined by common definition.. But I'm not into the common definition but that's another story, ..
But back on track, somehow their(the fundies) mind is captured by these fellas or fallets or fellatos.. Whoops, but back to regular scheduled programing but with TW and all, who can blame me..:)
Anyway, where was I at? Oh, also thinking about how organized these f's(fundies) are.. They constantly give each other recs, even on their crap threads while us poor basturds on my side never are organized enough to barely post in support each other. We can barely get along, in fact I can't get along with many on my side here on SI as I think many are a$$es in their own way... But just remember what ole Will Rogers said.. "I don't belong to an organized Party.."" So I guess that's why all those Bushies, Cheneyites radical Islamites, etc, and their followers numbering about 30% of the electorate can grab control of their respective societies.. Sad but true..:(
More later but we are listening to Xmas songs.. I just wish the Xmas spirit would last longer than about two-three weeks a year.. :(
