I admire your honesty, but even more, your ability to rise above the PC pretensions of compassion and willingness to sacrifice so that others might benefit; it's one of the traits I like best about you. But in ten years -although by then you will likely be in some mansion somewhere because of your investment profits-wouldn't you be the one paying much less on a house that has appreciated at the rate you mention? And I'm confused...how can your taxes go up on your appreciated home if they're not going up on your neighbors...? I really don't know how normal people get through all the complicated processes and decisions life demands. Having a lawyer for a husband hasn't helped me at all. I'm perpetually perplexed.
