An "Ownership Society" is preferred over an "Owned Society" where government provides everything since it owns everything. I'm fairly certain more than one administration and greed caused the financial crises - but the concept of owning your own home and encouraging it is not a bad idea. Obama is the one that walked into office with the worst situation EVER handed a modern president A bit of an exaggeration - but he has managed through his naive business experience to make every wrong move possible and only after exhausting every bad idea has he started to think about tax cuts to let businesses keep their capital to invest and hire people.
