dijon is a wonderful thing. I made my first pot of navy beans with a ham bone in it the other day... the recipe I found on allrecipes called for dry mustard. not the same as dijon but it adds a lot. I was surprised but went with it, plus threw in some jalapeno juice. it was very very good. lots of garlic, too. and I got me some bay leafs to use. my dog is 9 and it was her first ham bone. oh my I feel bad now. she has had more fun with it. I must do another soon for her. she has liked tapped into her inner beast, or somethin'.
