It is a pretty safe bet that more than 99% of journalists will not win an Edward R. Murrow award, if such and award exists, especially one who is not from the lamestream media. Beck does not even call himself a journalist, but what he does effectively is present a unique point of view as to future possibilities, which could occur, but are never even mentioned in the lamestream. He hears a different drummer. There are those who can stand to have their comfort zone challenged and they are his audience. Those who cannot,for exaqmple, woke up in Septermber 08, and were suprised to find that the economic leadership of the country was in the hands of an economic thugocracy of incompetent psuedo intellectuals and were totally suprised. lj
