OK you guys, Gary, Style, Larry, Glenn - I know I'm going to take some heat for this but - COMS? Why does ASND need all the overlap AND BAGGAGE that comes with COMS? NICs? Soon they'll be integrated on the motherboard. Shared Hubs? - an older small growth market. X2? - K-Flex and the new Rockwell 1MB chip will dominate. Total Control? Overlap with TNT and TNT will win the carrier market, IMO. GE? ASND doesn't have it, but MRVC/NBASE has much better products and prices than COMS, BAY or CSCO and no overlap for ASND - a much better move. F/R and ATM? ASND is well positioned except for Voice. IMO, COMS NEEDS ASND, but ASND does not need COMS. Somebody tell me why this makes MORE sense for ASND than other moves they could make - other than saving Style some commissions <ggg>.
