Chino - Thanks for the material. I will read it. Perhaps you might not have discerned from my prior posts, I am not particularly enthralled with either party. My roots were repub, but in my mind they have had several chances and not come through. I also dont like where the current regime is taking us so I am not at all happy with the dems (except for the assault on the banking excesses like exorbinant interest rates and fees). I will vote for whomever makes the most sense to me, so you could call me independent. By the way, thanks for the thoughtful reply instead of throwing childish insults like others have. Why am I here on this thread? Most of the opinion here is totally opposite to what I believe however, I like to hear a multitude of viewpoints to gain some understanding of why people think the way they do. I sort of like what Warren Buffet says re investing and think it applies equally to these threads Buffett cites this piece of advice from his mentor Benjamin Graham: "You're neither right nor wrong because other people agree with you. You're right because your facts are right and your reasoning is right-and that's the only thing that makes you right. And if your facts and reasoning are right, you don't have to worry about anybody else." I might be right and I might be wrong in some of the things I believe. Reading the viewpoints here may help me to change my thoughts or at least understand those that do not believe as I do. I try not insult those that disagree with my thoughts or beliefs and think threads would be better if others did likewise. Our country is great due to its diversity, in its thoughts and people. I think it not helpful for our country that both the dems and repubs are so partisan and work to divide rather than unite this great country. My experience has been an entities power comes in its unity, not through division. But division furthers the power designs of the parties and people in power. Thanks again for the articles.
