Meanwhile back at the ranch...

The good news is that there hasn't been any public comment or dissent in regard to the permit applications. The less good news is that the local office in Ecuador is very busy and have delayed field inspections until after Christmas. That will set back the water usage permits for Shyri by 3-4 weeks from what had been expected. Field inspections are the last major step in the process and they anticipate 2-3 weeks between inspection and issuance. They don't believe that there will be any problems getting a drill contractor lined up though no contract has been signed yet.

Exploration work on Macara is ongoing. NEM visited the area a couple of weeks ago. They are now at a point where they have to make a decision fairly soon as to whether they wish to exercise their option to acquire 51% of the project by committing up to $3MM over a 4-year period. Sounds like they are shooting for the end of January to have a decision.

As for Little Deer, the company is completing the seventh hole. Some results have been received but some are still at the lab. The company will wait until all of the results are back before releasing any of them.
