I would refer you to the works and life of Nietzsche--perhaps the most brilliant rationalist to ever live.
He repudiated Christ, the Bible and the Christian-European Civilization. He repudiated the light of Christ and the Bible for the light of the mind, intellectual enlightenment.
In the end, the light of his godless human mind became a chamber of darkness for Nietzsche. He died a raving lunatic enclosed in utter darkness.
Ultimately, Nietzsche chose the darkness of intellectual enlightenment over the true light and enlightenment of Christ.
Jesus Christ crucified for your sins---the only source of truth, peace, love and eternal life. He is the only one that can reconcile you to God the Father and restore your the true humanity you are seeking.
All true knowledge and wisdom are found in Christ--and also eternal life.
These are words of wisdom, John Galt, but you need the grace of God to have the heart capacity and the intellecutual capacity to understand them.
Finally, if you are a true rationalist and a scientific minded individual as you claim, I put you to the test.
Jesus Christ stated that if you call upon him with all your heart you shall find him. There is your hypothesis. Disprove those foolish Christians and call upon Jesus with all your heart. If Jesus does not answer you, then you will know that all those Christians are truly fakes as you suspected. But If you refuse to honestly test the hypothesis , then you will always know in your heart that you are the fake.
I challenge you John Galt. Put the words of Jesus to the test and rationally prove that his words are false.
