What the poll did not measure is whom will the independents vote for in '10. They were dissatisfied with the Repubs just 2 years ago. Are they saying they are satisfied because of the way Dems are handling things?

With regards to jobs, people will vote based on the job figures at the end 3Q '10. Things are sure to look better by then. I think the banks will have to start lending to show their investors that they are profitable.

And the big question is the capture of either Osama, Zawahiri or Mullah Omar. If any of these get nabbed (which Bush unfortunately neglected), then the situation maybe different.
