Everyone is trying increase efficiency all the time simply for economic reasons, but that doesn't change the fact that aviation is dependent on liquid fuel. Unless you want to make the aviation industry run entirely on ethanol or some biofuel to be developed that means a fossil fuel.

I see a contradiction in saying we want to kill the fossil fuel industry asap and celebrating an industry thats dependent on fossil fuels.
