I'm not so sure that the internet-box will be wildly successful, atleast not this Christmas. The bandwidth still isn't great enough to allow people to use internet-boxes the way that companies like ORCL, SUNW, NSCP, and IBM want you to believe. Besides, people keep wanting to buy the most powerful PCs they can find. By next Christmas, you will probably be able to get a 486 for about $500-700. That is a much better deal than buying a dumb-box for a similar cost.

Also, LSI plans to sell those chips for only about $50. I don't know what their cost is.
