Chart of the week: 2010 and the Fed
What does 2010 hold for the Fed? What should we be looking at to guide us?

?? Fixed Income Page 17

Please see chart of the week.

Further short term USD gains seem likely. Over the medium term we believe the majority of the correction down on EURUSD is likely to be behind us and continue to expect a rally ahead and an eventual new high in 2010. Concerns on GBP are still valid and EURGBP has come in to a good support area.

?? Equities Page 21

The S&P 500 remains in a range and the Dow Transports may stretch higher. From a medium term perspective we need to watch the 200 week moving average on Dow Transports which may limit gains.

?? Commodities Page 22

Gold may still correct lower in the short term though the medium term pattern still argues for a test of $1,300.

?? Emerging Markets Page 23

The USD is looking strong against most EM currencies. We also take a look at equities and highlight important short term levels and the longer term patterns in play.
