I've never heard this. What exactly are you referring to?

I've never heard of the Rs using base closures as a political weapon. Like Ds, some Rs have supported trying to keep bases open in their state, which is wrong but part of the process.

I have never heard of a R president or Congressional leader threatening a member like this.

LOL. Why do you think Rs walked in lockstep for most of the 8 years Bush was president? Did you think it was magic?
