Yep, gold resembles a fire extinguisher, and there is definitely
that nasty smell when it's bubbling up. All is not well. The
demand for fire extinguishers is up when there is smoke and
fire. Not that smoke and fire are invisible at this time.
As stocks crashed in 2008-early 2009, folks were
buying gold like crazy, even though it crashed too. In fact,
as price of gold on CNBC showed 700-something, you could not
buy the actual stuff this low. You could sell it higher too.
The physical price last year disconnected from nymex. -g-
