More Heavy Snow Coming to DC Area
Blizzard warning cancelled, but more snow coming

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the entire DC area. The previous blizzard warning was cancelled, but more heavy snow is still predicted before Sunday morning.

Accumulations for the District and across the region are predicted to range from 12-22” with the heaviest snowfall occurring between 8 AM and 6 PM today.

Temperatures will remain in the upper 20s to lower 30s throughout the event with winds 15 to 25 mph and gust reaching 40 mph today.

Snowfall will begin to taper off Saturday evening through Sunday morning.

The District government offers the following information and tips to help prepare for this winter weather event:
