Infrastructure spending was too low. People are easily fooled by clever tag lines like shovel ready...

We did not scratch what has been already designed and engineered and approved. Obama administration mandated lower labor projects for 2009 and lessor jobs and will increase spending to 12.5 percent in 2010 and do earth moving projects which require
More labor. They purposely planned to keep these projects until this year...an election year and chose to keep those people unemployed for political gain. That is our government at work. Think about it...

Oh, and btw, we engineer and manufacture structures and supply these jobs and work with the DOT. Our DOT requested to change mandated jobs since many were not high priority and the DOT advised Washington that there were higher priority jobs on the shelves and that these jobs will also provide more employment and they were advised to do as mandated.

Capacity and projects were there, our government played political games for party benefit instead of representing us.
