Doing away with junk mail will be the death of the USPS. That's their mainstay. UPS and FedEx took away their most profitable niche with packages, and email is greatly reducing their next most profitable service. Junk mail is what keeps them going.

Look for a) more federal subsidies, b) higher prices, and/or c) no more USPS.
