"You're projecting again."

Don't you even have a clue what projecting is?

"You were the one who brought up the comparison between car insurance and health insurance."

It is called an 'analogy', Tenchu. There is a case where insurance is mandatory. You can quibble over the details because it isn't exact, but it isn't the only case where insurance is mandatory under certain circumstances.

"I brought up that part of Inode's post because I think it's sufficient enough to invalidate your comparison. "

Nah. You aren't above dragging a red herring or two of your own. Like with i-node, you deal in generalities and broad brushes except when you don't agree. Then you can finely slice a hair like a Japanese master.

" Just because car insurance is mandatory doesn't mean health insurance ought to be."

And then there are your straw men. I never said it ought to be. But, arguing that it is un-American to be mandatory is a specious argument.
