Al, all three of your counterarguments repeat the same (flawed) message. We all end up paying one way or another, so why not pay up front for everyone's preventative care?

First of all, preventative care is actually more expensive than just going to the ER when a crisis happens. The issue here is quality of life, not cost.

Second, none of this proves that a right should also be an entitlement.

Third, if you want to argue morals, do so. No need to confuse rights and entitlements.

Hey, we have universal K-12 education. Does that mean getting an education is a "right"? No, it's just means we've already gone past the question of who should pay for grade school.
