John---I repeat. We will conduct a simple, rational and scientific experiement. There is a theory among Chritians--originally stated by Jesus--that says that If you seek Jesus with all of your heart, you shall find him. Millions, hundreds of millions and possibly billions have tested this theory in the last 2000 years and have found it to be valid and capable of being reproduced by honest minds. The approach that I propose is identical to the scientific method in a laboratory. Individual scientists, through the experimental testing of theories and hypotheses, arrive at certain truths about physical phenomena and states of matter.
Jesus Christ has claimed to be the son of God who came into the world to die for the sins of mankind so they could be reconciled to God. This Jesus was crucified, died and was burried, descended into hell and after three days rose again from the dead. He asceded into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father. This Jesus has said that whoesover will call open the name of the Lord with all their hearts that he would reveal Himself to them.
John Galt is either an imposter, a charlatan or an honest man. If an honest man, he will test the theory as to it"s
validity.
John Galt has openly stated that he believes this theory to be false. I challenge John Galt in the spirit of truth and scientific rationalism to test this theory to determine if their is any validity.
It is hard for me to believe that one who puts so much stock in scientific rationalism has come to his beliefs and attitudes about Jesus Christ from hearsay, fables and old wives tales. John, don't you know that such beliefs are a form of faith--negative faith.
John Galt, don't you know that we live in the age of reason and experimentation. I urge you to test the theory and to rationally prove to yourself that your negative faith about Jesus is well founded.
