Larry, Thanks for the bit on the Booz Allen report on Korea. The only problem I see with that report and others about Asian economies is that these sentiments are really nothing new, but have more "open ears" during times of crisis. If you go into Edgar, and read the closed end fund reports for the first quarter of this year, all of the managers of the closed end country funds were pretty optimistic about the prospects for the Southeast Asian economies. The story on Korea, from what I have read, is dram prices. Korea produces lots of computer memory etc., which is what got me interested in investing there. All of the Southeast Asian economies are really like techonology stocks/countries. Countries like Malaysia and Singapore export lots of manufactured computer technology, which is why people would want to be invested in these countries. My take on the matter is that the concern about deflation resulting from the decline in the Asian currencies, will ivevitably lead to the decline of the dollar or the increase in the value of the Southeast Asian currencies. Only time will tell, and perhaps we'll se a rebound like we have had in the U.S. computer stocks since the summer of 1996. Until then, keep the info coming.
