The issue was the the Nelson deal making vis a vis equal justice under law and a potential Levin lawsuit. I do not know of anything about that bit of the creation of this bill that was out of the ordinary in that regard. Do you?

Can you name one piece of major, sweeping social legislation that has been enacted without the support of the public?

I understand your outrage but it's beside the point.
