Esteban, I am familiar with two brokers that offer the market transparancy that would be best for daytraders (of course there are others): Cybertrader and AB Watley. I did not do any trades on ABWATLEY this past Tuesday, but was told that their typical 3-5 second executions were delayed by a few seconds. I am trying to confirm this by contacting an AB Watley Ultimate Trader who did trade on Tuesday. When I hear from her, I'll give you an update. ABWatley Ultimate Trader has only 250 clients and they will only add individuals as long as their Server capacity doesn't exceed 75%. They don't act as an MM or Principal with your order but pass it right through.

As far as Cybertrader, they are only going retail now (they have been testing though with some users) so I cannot comment on them yet.

Do you have any more details on how Datek routes our orders? From your post it appears that after scanning Island to match a marketable order, they prefer another ECN, then SOES (if it qualifies). What about SNET, when do they try it with the various MM's? And what is their criteria for which MM they choose over another?

Thanks for your feedback, it has been very educational.

Best Regards,
Jack Z.
