In regard to the comments made earlier about automotive applications. I really must get a life, because this morning a 6:00 am I was watching Cspan-2. Alex Trotman CEO of Ford Motor was giving a speech to the National Press Club. During the question and answer period, he was asked if safety of cars were not being compomised by the continual additions of dials, gauges and celluar phones that require the driver to remove his focus from the road. His response was that he tended to agree with this trend and that in response Ford was looking at some promising new heads up display technologies that would allow the display of all information overlayed within the drivers normal vision. Although mvis and vrd was not mentioned, conventional head up displays are very directional sensitive thus their adoption was ruled out a long time ago. GO MAVIS
