Spock once said he never will understand the female ability to avoid a direct answer to any question, I asked one simple question, how much lies from the government and how much poverty would you have to experience to change your views that maybe having kids would have been the better option? Can you please answer that for me - is there ANY point where you would have thought having/adopting kids was better? My chinese friend in my old hometown only wanted to change what she did AFTER her kids were in thier late 30's and she came to accept they would never bear her any grandkids - even though they had told her for about a decade they would not. "Shades, all your children will support you in your old age?" Not in this country, the state from the lawyers to the politicians is all about driving families apart and making them depend on the government TIT so they can have power over them. No children will support me in old age. Let me ask you a question, there are 8000 regulated/supervised commercial banks in this country, the recent loan foreclosure/modification could have been done through all the local branches/communities - instead we have started this logistical nightmare and turned a lot of power over to the FED - other than a power grab I can't see any logic in what has just happened regarding the housing situation in this country. In fact I am ashamed how EASILY local governments/communities/banks have allowed this power to be surrendered to the federal government. Do you appreciate the CONTROL over housing that the federal government now explicity exerts? There is a lot of people sitting in foreclosed houses all over the country dependent on a very few people at the federal level making the decisions, that is not good. "Good luck with that one since by your own admission you failed to procreate as well... why not use yourself as an example?" I did admit I will probably sink in the same titanic as you if I stay in the USA, I ran into too many graces who killed our baby because they chose career over family, I tried my hardest to get them pregnant before the hysterectomy and all that other good stuff that so many now have. I have concluded that I must permanently move away from the USA to a small remote third world place if I have any HOPE of living the life I want with the family I want without government control from cradle to the grave of everything! "I can pretty much guarantee it will be my hard earned money that will be paying for your government subsidized chithole." Grace you don't sound happy, and with that you have let this society take the one most important thing that we all need as human beings, lots and lots of happiness. Take my advice and follow my example, get as far away you can from the misery you see coming - don't become financial soylent green.
